As an educator, I try to incorporate activities and lessons that will interest my students. Currently, my students seem to be interested in local natural attractions. The purpose of this blog is to discuss beautiful local places to visit. The above picture was taken at Econfina Springs in Bay County, Florida. It is only an hour north of Panama City Beach, Florida and it takes about 2.5 hours to drive to from Mobile, AL. The river is spring-fed and features many ice-cold underwater caves that are great for scuba diving in. Canoe trips are great on hot summer days because the cold water keeps the paddling bearable!
